BOSTON - Senior Jesyka Burks-Wiley has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after a prolific week where she poured in a game-high 21 points in Tuesday's win over Harvard and followed it up with a 17-point performance at Marist.
Burks-Wiley's 21 points versus Harvard (Dec. 9) helped the Terriers remain undefeated at Case Gym over the last 16 straight games as they defeated the Crimson, 80-61. The victory was also the program's 450th over 34 seasons. Four days later, she posted 17 against the Red Foxes in a 73-62 loss in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
The 6-1 forward is 116 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point plateau and is currently averaging 16.0 points per game, ranking fourth in the America East in scoring.
