
Waresmith Concludes NCAA Championships with 24th-Place Finish

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior diver Tess Waresmith concluded her run in the 2008 NCAA championships with a 24th-place finish on the three-meter board with 270.65 points. On Thursday, the Dover, Mass., native placed 34th on the one-meter. Waresmith is the first diver to qualify for the national championship since 1982, when Chris O'Hagan and Cathy Butler accomplished the feat.
Waresmith capped off an impressive first season as a Terrier where she went undefeated on both boards in dual meets and earned five weekly conference honors as the Diver of the Week. In addition, she broke program and pool records on the one- and three-meter boards.
