
Cross Country Announces 2008 Captains

BOSTON - Head coach Bruce Lehane and the Boston University cross country team have announced the Terriers' captains for the 2008 season. Junior Eric Ashe and senior David Proctor will lead the men's team, while junior Sarah Mosser and senior Mollie Zapata will serve as captains for the women's team.
Proctor was the Terriers' top finisher at the NCAA Northeast Regional last season, while Ashe was the first BU runner across the line at the New England Championship. Ashe and Proctor finished first and second to lead the Terriers to a first-place finish at last season's Ted Owen Invitational.
Mosser ran to a pair of fifth-place finishes in the Ted Owen Invitational and the BU Fall Meet last season, while Zapata is also a veteran of the cross country and track squads.
The Terriers begin the 2008 season on Saturday, competing in the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H. The men's race begins at 10:30 a.m. and the women are off at 11 a.m. from the Hanover Country Club.
