BOSTON - On Friday night, Terrier fans packed The Roof as the anticipation of the upcoming basketball season loomed in the air. Up to 1,400 BU students, faculty, staff and alumni crammed into the crowded gym for the annual TERRIER TIP-OFF event. With spotlights shining, speakers booming and two large projector screens showcasing highlights from the previous season, the stage was set for a night that Terrier Nation would long remember.
America's Best Dance Crew's Status Quo jump started the night's festivities, which included the first look at both men's and women's basketball teams, the BU Drum Line's energetic routine, the Cheeleaders' stunts, a performance by BY's Xception and the unforgettable tribute to Michael Jackson performed by the Dance Team with a special appearance by the men's basketball team.
In the athletic competitions, Tyler Morris won the 3-point contest against Alex Young, and Carlos Strong defended his Slam Dunk crown.
