Alex Young poured in 33 points at Brown last week and followed it up with a 17-point performance at Harvard to earn this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the week. In two games, the sophomore guard averaged 25.0 points per game and was 12-for-13 from the free-throw line.
Her 33-point scoring production was the second best single-game effort in the America East Conference this season. In Providence, R.I. she shot 10-for-15 from the field and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. In 2009-10, she is now averaging a team-best 14.7 ppg, which ranks sixth in the America East standings. In addition, she is fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (.357) and 10th in field goal percentage (.446).
