Women's Rowing to Race in Eastern Sprints Sunday

BOSTON - After a two-week break from competition, the Boston University women's rowing team will compete for the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges (EAWRC) conference title in the Eastern Sprints Sunday (May 17) on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. The Terriers' novice eight boat is one of five that will take to the water, beginning at 8:10 a.m.
Seeded seventh, the varsity eight boat will race against No. 1 seed and fourth-ranked Brown, No. 6 Northeastern, No. 12 Navy, No. 13 Rhode Island and No. 18 George Washington at approximately 8:40 a.m. The top two boats from the morning heat will advance to the Grand Final in the afternoon with the next two finishers competing in the Petite Final.
Seeded sixth, the 2V8 boat will face No. 1 Yale, No. 7 Columbia, No. 12 Navy and No. 13 Rhode Island.
Seeded seventh, the V4 "A" boat will race against No. 1 Brown, No. 6 Navy, No. 12 Georgetown and No. 13 Cornell.
Seeded eighth, the V4 "B" boat has No. 1 Yale, No. 4 Princeton, No. 5 Navy and No. 9 Penn.
Seeded 11th, the novice eight squad will compete against No. 2 Yale, No. 5 Dartmouth, No. 8 Radcliffe and No. 14 George Washington.
