
Macris Invited to USRowing U23 Men's National Team Camp

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Harrison Macris of the ninth-ranked Boston University men's rowing team has been invited to the USRowing Men's U23 National Team Camp to be held in Oklahoma City from June 12, 2009. This camp will select the open men's 8+, 4- and 4x that will compete at the 2009 FISA World Under 23 Championships scheduled for July 23-26 in Racice, Czech Republic.
Originally from Mystic, Conn., Macris sat in the No. 2 spot on Wednesday during the varsity eight race, as the Terriers defeated second-ranked Brown for the first time since 1987 in the annual Michalson Cup competition. He also helped the team reach the Grand Final at the Eastern Sprints with BU taking sixth overall.
The camp also plans to select an open men's 2-, 4+ and 2x to compete at U23 Trials July 6-10 at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.
