Senior Andre Watson earned Most Valuable Player for the 2008-09 Boston University men's diving team after another tremendous season with the Terriers that was highlighted by a trip to the NCAAs.
Watson graduates as one of the most accomplished divers in the history of the program after capping off his career with his first trip to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, where he competed on both boards. On the 1M, Watson posted a score of 268.40, which was good for 31st in the field, and he finished in the same spot on the 3M with a score of 300.90.
He qualified for the NCAA championships after sweeping the diving events at the America East championship, as he was named the Most Outstanding Diver at the meet. He shattered the league record on the one-meter board.
He leaves Boston University with six of a possible eight school and pool records for the Terriers.
