BOSTON - All-American Andrea Walkonen won her second race in as many weeks, taking home a 50-second victory at the BU Invitational held at Franklin Park Sunday afternoon. Walkonen completed the 5K course in 17:40, giving her a second victory on the young season after taking home the title at last week's America East Pre-Championship meet in Williston, Vt.

The Terriers took on Brown, LaSalle, Marist and Northeastern at the invitational and ended up winning two head-to-head matchups. BU fell narrowly to Brown, 30-26, and to Northeastern, 31-26, but defeated Marist, 25-30, and handled the Huskies by a score of 16-46.

Sophomore Katie Matthews was the next Terrier to cross the line, finishing with a time of 18:32, good enough for fourth place. Junior Kathleen Davies was just six seconds back of Matthews at 18:38 and finished in 11th-place, while senior Sarah Mosser ran a 19th-best time of 18:57. Other top finishers for BU included freshman Marita Stressenger (19:40, 31st), sophomore Anna Lukes (19:54, 36th), and freshman Tenny Ostrem (20:16, 46th).

On the men's side, junior Eric Ashe followed up his win last week with a second place finish at Franklin Park. Ashe completed the 8K race in 25:07, just 12 seconds back of Marist's Adam Vess, who took the individual title with a time of 24:55. The men's team also took home two wins in the meet, downing Northeastern 17-46 and Brown 29-30.

Junior Craig MacPherson was BU's next finisher, crossing the line in 8th-position with a time of 25:22.
