
Men's Crew Competes at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. - Continuing the Fall schedule at the three-mile Princeton Chase, the Boston University men's crew recorded three top-10 results Sunday on Lake Carnegie. The varsity four boat coxed by junior Bobby McGee and stroked by sophomore Matthew Given led the Terriers with a fourth-place finish, while the varsity eight boat coxed by McGee and stroked by Todd Sukolsky took sixth.
Coming off a 10th-place finish in the championship eights at the Head of the Charles, the V8 boat had another strong performance in the first race of the morning. The Terriers posted a time of 13:13.211 and finished ahead of the top boats from Georgetown, Penn, Dartmouth and Virginia. They also stayed within seven seconds of the winner (Princeton) and were just five away from a second-place finish.
In the V4, the Terriers 'a' crew posted a time of 14:53.623, placing ahead of top boats from Cornell, Navy, Dartmouth, Columbia and Penn.
BU will next compete in the Foot of the Charles on Saturday, Nov. 20.
