Eric Ashe Named Student-Athlete of the Week

Graduate student Eric Ashe has been named this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after his second-place finish at the America East championship on Saturday (Oct. 30) paced the Terriers to their first conference title since 2000.
Ashe's second-place showing was the best performance by a BU runner at the conference championship since Jochen Dieckfoss '04 took the individual title in 2003. In addition, Ashe's time of 24:22.29 was the fifth best run in conference championship history.
The Hanson, Mass., native helped the Terriers to their 11th America East championship as BU earned 45 points, nine more than runner-up Binghamton.
Both the men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Nov. 13 for the NCAA Northeast Regional in Madison, Conn.
