
Amanda Schmitz Named Student-Athlete of the Week

BOSTON - Amanda Schmitz has been named this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after winning five individual races over the weekend to help the women's swimming and diving team sweep Stony Brook and Fordham.
Schmitz was the squad's big winner and she began her tear on Friday at Stony Brook. The junior won the 1,000 free in 10:32.63 and then switched it up for a triumph in the 200 fly in 2:07.08. On Saturday at Fordham, she was able to top her performance from a day before with three wins. The first came in the 200 fly (2:02.72), followed by the 500 free (5:02.01) and the 200 IM (2:08.33).
The swimming and diving program will host their annual Terrier Invitational on Nov. 19-21.
