
Men's Swimming and Diving Wins Terrier Invite

BOSTON - The Boston University men's swimming and diving team won the 2010 Terrier Invitational over the weekend as it collected 801 points over the three-day event. BU won nine events, including a pair of wins for Kyle Ernst and a 1-2-3 sweep of the 200 back.
Ernst began his weekend with a win in the 200 IM, finishing in 1:51.86, before claiming top honors in the 100 breast with a time of 56.18. Bryon Kallert was dominant in the backstroke events, as he won the 100 back in 50.85, and the finished second in the 200 back (1:49.71). In that race, Kallert was part of a 1-2-3 sweep of the podium, as Nik Astashinsky won the race in 1:49.46, followed by Kallert and Justin Gilmartin (1:51.01).
Rickett won the 100 fly in a time of 49.0, while the relays were absolutely dominant during the Invite. The 200-free relay of Daniel Kempf, Rickett, Gilmartin and Jackson Hill won in 1:22.70, while Astashinsky, Ernst, Rickett, and Kemp won the 400-medley relay in 3:22.16.
The quartet of Kallert, Ernst, Rickett and Kempf won the 200 medley in 1:32.35, and the 400 free (Gilmartin, Rickett, Hill, Kempf) won the race in 3:04.19.
