
Men's Swimming and Diving Falls to Harvard, 156-106

BOSTON - The Boston University men's swimming and diving team lost a 156-106 decision to a strong Harvard side on Friday evening at BU's Competition Pool.
Senior Kyle Ernst won the 50 breast in 26.95 and later on picked up a victory in the 200 breast with a time of 2:05.99. Rookie Jeff Thomas won the 200 fly edging Harvard's Ross Ford by nearly two tenths of a second with a time of 1:55.70. In the 200 back the duo of Nik Astashinsky and Bryon Kallert went 1-2 with times of 1:53.36 and 1:55.62, respectively.
Senior Matt Rickett claimed first in the 50 fly, touching in 22.68, and the 200 free relay closed out the meet with a victory as it finished in 1:25.54. Jackson Hill swam the lead off leg, followed by Rickett, Justin Gilmartin and Daniel Kempf.
The Terriers will now enjoy an extended break as they will not return to the pool until Saturday, Jan. 15 when they host Brown at 1:30 p.m.
