WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Freshman diver Melinda Matyas concluded her rookie campaign with the Boston University swimming and diving program at the NCAA championships over the weekend, where she placed 23rd on the platform and 36th on the one-meter board.
On the platform event, Matyas scored 231.15 to take 23rd overall, before competing on the 1M, where she scored 237.85.
It is the highest finish by a swimmer or diver in head coach Bill Smyth's reign at BU, and highest finisher for a diver in the last 14 years under diving coach Agnes Gerlack-Miller's watch.
