The Boston University men's crew team is ranked sixth in the first USCollegiate Rowing poll of the spring. Losing only two rowers from last year's varsity eight boat that advanced to both the IRA and Eastern Sprint Grand Finals, the Terriers are in position to build off the momentum from the successful 2009 season.
Recipient of the 2009 Clayton Chapman award for most improved team in the country, BU took fourth at the San Diego Crew Classic on March 24, finishing behind No. 2 California, No. 3 Brown and No. 5 Syracuse while placing ahead of No. 8 Northeastern and No. 10 Stanford.
The Terriers will next face Northeastern on Saturday, April 10, on the Charles River.
