BOSTON - Highlighted by a doubleheader on ESPN3 and an appearance on the CBS Sports Network, Boston University has released the entire basketball broadcast schedule for the 2011-12 season.
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Agganis Arena, the women's basketball team will host Vermont starting at 5 p.m. and will be followed by their male counterparts at 7 p.m. The two contests will be part of eight scheduled appearances on the ESPN family of networks for BU.
Led by first-year head coach Joe Jones, the men will put their three-game win streak on the line Saturday (Dec. 3) at Boston College on ESPN3. They will next host Harvard (Dec. 10) at Agganis Arena on NESN and then three days later appear on ESPN2 at Villanova (Dec. 13) for the first time since capturing the America East title last season.
Picked to repeat as conference champions, the men will return to NESN at Quinnipiac on Dec. 31 and then host Stony Brook (Jan. 14) on ESPN3.
After earning a 71-44 win over Rhode Island last weekend on NESN, eighth-year head coach Kelly Greenberg and the women's team will travel to UMBC on Jan. 25 for the first of three ESPN3 broadcasts. Besides hosting Vermont on Feb. 1, the Terriers will also visit Hartford on Feb. 25 for a key conference match-up.
