
Matyas Places 17th on Platform at NCAA Championships

AUSTIN, Texas - Sophomore diver Melinda Matyas placed 17th overall on the platform at the 2011 NCAA Championships to record BU's highest finish ever at the competition.
Matyas score a 246.55 on what has become her signature event as she placed 23rd last year at NCAAs. Earlier in the weekend, the Budapest, Hungary, native posted a 220.15 on the 1M to finish in 36th.
Matyas completes the 2010-11 season for the Boston University women's swimming and diving program, however, senior Matt Rickett will pick up the torch for the men's side as he will compete in the NCAA Championships next weekend in the 100 fly.
