After leading the Terriers to their first America East title since 2000, Eric Ashe of the Boston University men's cross country team earned the squad's most valuable player honors.
Ashe's second-place showing at the AE championships was the best performance by a BU runner since Jochen Dieckfoss ('04) took the individual title in 2003. In addition, the Hanson, Mass., native's time of 24:22.29 was the fifth best in conference championship history.
The senior was the fastest Terrier in each of his races. In addition to his second-place finish at the conference championships, Ashe claimed the America East Pre-Championships crown and placed second at the New England championships.
