After being the top Terrier in each of her races, junior Katie Matthews earned the Boston University women's cross country team's most valuable player honors.
The Rocky Hill, Conn., native secured top-10 finishes in four-of-five races, including a third-place finish at the ECAC championships. Matthews also earned America East All-Conference recognition after placing eighth at the conference championships.
In her 2010 debut, Matthews placed 10th at the Boston College Invitational. She also finished sixth at the New England championships and secured a 26th-place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regionals.
