For the second consecutive year, senior coxswain Alex Thornton was named the most valuable player of the Boston University women's rowing team.
Besides coxing the varsity eight boat to a Kittel Cup victory over Syracuse, she also earned wins over then-No. 20 Louisville, Gonzaga, Boston College.and MIT. In the final race of her collegiate career, the Terriers won the 3rd Level Final at the Eastern Sprints.
