After helping the Boston University men's crew varsity eight boat capture a program-record five cups, senior captain Sebastian Mueller has been named the most valuable player for the 2010-11 season.
Sitting in the three-seat on the V8 boat during the spring, Mueller along with the other eight crew members earned victories over Brown (Michalson Cup), Northeastern (Arlett Cup), Syracuse (Conlan Cup), Dartmouth (Bill Cup) and Columbia (Lusins Cup).
The Terriers defeated the Bears for just the fourth time since 1980 and finished ahead of the Orange for the first time since 2005.
Mueller capped his collegiate career by helping the V8 boat reach the Grand Final at the Eastern Sprints and win the 3rd Level Final at the IRA National Championships.
