Sophomore Rich Peters of the Boston University men's cross country team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
He finished first among 97 runners, as the Boston University men's cross country team opened its 2011 season on Saturday morning at the Bryant Invitational.
Peters edged Northeastern's Eric Jenkins by less than a second with a time of 15:00.04 to claim first-place honors.
A seventh-place finisher at the 2010 America East Championships, Peters' victory marks his first individual title.
