Terriers Place Fourth at CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Boston University men's cross country team placed fourth at the Central Conn. State Mini Meet on Friday afternoon at Stanley Quarter Park.
Senior Robert Gibson paced the Terriers with a third-place finish. He completed the course with a time of 15:38.35. He was the top America East runner at the meet.
Two of Gibson's classmates were next to cross the finish line for the Terriers, as senior Michael Caputo was 18th (16:09.58) and senior Tom Waterman was 25th (16:17.27). Junior Stuart Ross rounded out the top five for BU with a 29th-place finish (16:23.21), while seniors Michael Bhatt (16:23.57) and David Krinjak (16:24.43) were right behind him in 30th and 31st place, respectively.
Freshman Paul Gennaro had a time of 16:28.91, which was good for 37th place. Sophomore Matt Solomon finished 63rd with a time of 16:55.82, while senior Terence Galasso placed 76th (17:23.41) to round out the BU contingent.
This was the final regular-season meet for the Terriers, as they will next compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional in New London, Conn., on Nov. 9.
