CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior Robert Gibson of the Boston University men's cross country team was named America East Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Gibson finished third at the CCSU Mini Meet this past Friday (Oct. 19) with a time of 15:38.35. He completed the 5K course faster than any other America East runner and helped the Terriers claim fourth place as a team. The Brookline, Mass., native also has a second-place finish to his credit this season.
BU has now had three different harriers earn Performer of the Week accolades from the conference on four different occasions. Gibson and classmate Matt Paulson have each been selected once, while junior Rich Peters has received the honor twice.
The Terriers will next compete on Nov. 9 when they trek to New London, Conn., for the NCAA Northeast Regional.
