Peters Paces Terriers to Fourth-Place Finish at New Englands

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Boston University men's cross country team finished fourth at the New England Championships at Stanley Park on Sunday.
Junior Rich Peters finished second with a time of 24:21.04 to lead BU. It was just his second race of the season; he previously won the New Hampshire Invitational on Sept. 14. As a team, the Terriers finished with 156 points and averaged a time of 25:03.47.
Senior Robert Gibson placed 23rd with a time of 24:59.59. A pair of freshmen were next best for the Terriers, as Alec Olson (25:10.77) and Kevin Thomas (25:20.45) finished 33rd and 44th, respectively. Senior Elliot Lehane was 54th (25:25.46) and sophomore Ben Ravetz (25:28.85) finished 58th, while senior Michael Caputo placed 84th (25:48.23).
BU will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 13) when the Terriers trek to Louisville, Ky., to compete in Pre-Nationals.
