BOSTON - The Thanksgiving holiday will be a homecoming for junior Whitney Turner of the Boston University women’s basketball team, as BU is set to face a pair of teams in Turner’s home state of Michigan this weekend.
The Terriers depart for the Great Lakes State on Thursday, Nov. 22, and will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday in Turner’s hometown of Okemos, Mich. On Friday, Nov. 23, BU will play at Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich., and then take on Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Saturday, Nov. 24.
Turner has started all five games for the Terriers this season and is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game to go with 4.5 points per game. She leads the team with 10 blocked shots.
