After recording his fourth career double-double and helping BU earn its fourth win in five games, junior Dom Morris has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Morris averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games, highlighted by a 15-point, 12-rebound performance at Harvard. He had a strong performance against the Crimson, shooting 7-of-10 from the field while recording a career-high 12 defensive rebounds for his second double-double of the season.
Following the heart-breaking 65-64 loss at Harvard, the Terriers relied on his interior play to snap a two-game losing streak against Quinnipiac in a 69-62 overtime victory. Morris recorded 12 points and six rebounds against a bigger Bobcat squad. His slam dunk with 1:50 remaining in the extra session gave BU an eight-point cushion and prevented any chance of a comeback.
Shooting a team-high 53.0 percent from the field and 91.7 percent at the line, Morris currently leads the team in rebounding at 6.7 rpg and is second in scoring at 11.2 ppg.
