Annalise Routenberg
Arlington, Mass. • Arlington-Belmont High School • USRowing Junior Women's Development Team sculling camp 2011
Routenberg attended the USRowing Jr Women's Development Team sculling camp in 2011, was invited again in 2012, and was wait listed for the US High Performance camp in 2012.
Rippetoe on Routenberg: "We wanted to recruit Annalise because of her high level of determination, her eagerness to improve, and strong desire to be a part of our program at BU. She has shown resilience and grit through her junior rowing career. Annalise has been a very positive leader on her team and has a contagious passion for training and rowing that I can't wait to put to work at BU."
Kelli Wegner and Kerri Wegner
Both of Gansevoort, N.Y. • Saratoga Springs High School • Saratoga Rowing Association
Kelli and Kerri won the Canadian Henley in the pair and an eight and won the head of the Charles in the youth eight in 2012.
Rippetoe on the Wegners: "Kelli and Kerri have left no doubt in anyone's mind about their ability to consistently be boat movers. They have big aspirations in rowing and will contribute as part of BU's program while they continue to develop as rowers. Kelli and Kerri also have a chance to diverge on their academic paths when they study different disciplines at BU. It's so exciting to have twins on the team that both want to put their natural chemistry toward the same team goals - but it will also be wonderful to get to see Kelli and Kerri have their own unique experiences at BU."
Marlaina Miller
Irvine, Calif. • San Joaquin High School • Coxswain, Newport Aquatic Center
Emily Avrick
Wilmette, Ill. • New Trier High School (Winnetka Campus) • Coxswain, New Trier High School
Rippetoe on Miller and Avrick: "We are so excited about adding Emily and Marlaina to our roster - they are both very competent coxswains who consistently perform at a high level of intensity. They are going to work wonderfully with our core group of coxswains and they will all push each other to improve. Although Emily and Marlaina each grabbed our attention and stand out in different ways, they are both so eager to learn more and are rock solid under the pressure of competition."
