Adler Leads Women's Cross Country Team at UNH Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. - Junior Monica Adler finished fourth in her first race of the season as the Boston University women's cross country team competed at the New Hampshire Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Adler completed the course with a time of 17:15.40 to lead the Terriers, who had three harriers finish in the top 20. BU finished fourth as a team, scoring 80 points. Vermont won the event with a score of 39 points, followed by Albany (60), New Hampshire (75), BU and Maine (98).
Freshman Shelby Stableford finished 11th (17:59.95) for her second straight top-20 finish in just her second collegiate competition. Junior Danielle Bowen was 15th (18:12.98), followed by sophomore Ashli Tagoai in 26th (18:46.54). Junior Ally Brillaud finished 30th (18:53.35) while freshman Erin Pierce was right behind her in 31st place (18:55.77).
Freshman Michelle Sumner placed 33rd (18:56.78), followed by freshman Katie Sexton, who finished with a time of 20:14.08 in her Terrier debut. Senior Bree Potter completed the course in 20:48.24 to round out the BU contingent.
The Terriers will have next weekend off before they return to action on Sept. 28 at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
