BU Rowing Opens Head of the Charles Competition on Saturday

Saturday HOC Results
The Boston University men's and women's rowing teams competed in the 49th annual Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday. The day was highlighted by a second place finish for the men in the club eight race and a third place finish for the women in the club four.
In the men's club eight race, the third varsity eight boat, stroked by junior Matt Lenhart and coxed by sophomore Lauren Harvey, finished with a time of 14:39, good for second in a field of 47 boats behind first place Brown University.
In the women's club four race, the Terriers finished third in a field of 45. The Terriers, coxed by freshman Marlaina Miller and stroked by sophomore Sam Woo, finished with a time of 18:43, just 4 seconds behind race winner Fordham University. The Terriers club eight boat finished in ninth place in a field of 29 with a time of 17:32.
Earlier in the day, BU men's associate head coach John Lindberg, racing for the Cambridge Boat Club, finished first in the senior master fours race, setting a course record for that event.
The Terriers continue their Head of the Charles competition on Sunday with men's and women's collegiate championship racing beginning at 2:39 p.m. when BU competes in the women's championship four race. For a full scheule of Sunday's races click HERE.
