Wrestling Places Eighth at Keystone Classic

PHILADELPHIA - Senior Nestor Taffur and junior Tyler Scotton each earned third-place finishes to lead the Boston University wrestling team at the Keystone Classic on Sunday at Penn. The Terriers placed eighth in the 12-team tournament.
Sixteen athletes competed for BU on Sunday and they combined for 24 victories. Taffur, seeded second at 157, went 4-1 on the afternoon and finished with two straight wins, 11-5 and 12-6, to finish third.
Scotton went 5-2 at 141 en route to his third-place finish, including a 3-1 decision in his final match. His final three matches were all decided by two points or less.
Sophomore Dane Harlowe, the third seed at 133, finished fifth. He earned two wins, including a 3-0 decision in the fifth-place match.
Junior Andrew Maksimovic had three wins at 174 to finish sixth. Senior Bubba McGinley earned three wins at 125 and also placed sixth.
BU will be back in action on Dec. 1 when the Terriers head to Madison Square Garden to compete in the Grapple at the Garden.
