After nearly averaging a triple-double in a pair of games, sophomore Maurice Watson Jr. of the Boston University men's basketball team has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
This past Wednesday at George Washington, he recorded 12 points, six assists and four rebounds. He followed up on Saturday in Case Gym with his third career double-double. The Philadelphia, Pa., native posted 16 points, 12 assists, eight rebounds and one steal to lead the Terriers.
In the two contests, he shot a stifling 10-of-15 (.667), including 4-of-6 (.667) from behind the arc.
Watson currently ranks in the top six of five Patriot League statistical categories, including first in assists (6.5 apg), second in steals (2.1 spg) and sixth in scoring (14.6 ppg). He also ranks eighth nationally with 71 total assists.
