After setting two school records while helping the Boston University women's swimming and diving team capture the ECAC championship, freshman Stephanie Nasson has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Nasson became the first woman in BU history to break 4:50 in the 500 freestyle, as she clocked in at 4:49.07 in the preliminaries. She then posted a team of 4:51.12 in the finals to take first in the event.
The freshman set another school record in the 1,650 freestyle, where she shattered the old mark of 16:44.62 by clocking in at 16:27.57 to claim her second individual victory at the championships.
Nasson also placed third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.24 and swam a leg of BU's first-place 800 freestyle relay team.
