Women's Rowing Set for Eastern Sprints Sunday

After a busy weekend that featured back-to-back racing days, the Boston University women's rowing team will race at the 39th annual EAWRC Sprints Championships Sunday on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
Seeking its first Nathanial Case Trophy since 1992, the varsity eight boat will face off against five other crews in their first heat. Two of those, Northeastern and BC, the Terriers defeated last weekend in The Beanpot Regatta. The other boats in BU's V8 heat will be No. 12 Brown, Rutgers and Georgetown. The top three boats advance to the Grand Final.
The Terriers will be confident after coming off a very successful and busy weekend. On Saturday, BU's V8 and 2V8 swept URI, BC and MIT. On Sunday, the team's V8 boat finished second in the Beanpott Regatta to No. 7 Harvard and finished second overall in team points for the day.
BU's openweight and lightweight teams will combine for seven boats that will take to the water Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Terriers next competition will be at the CAA Championships in Occoquan, Virg. on May 19
