After winning the Ted Owen Invitational at Central Connecticut State on Saturday, junior Rosa Moriello of the women’s cross country team has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Moriello, competing for the first time since the 2011 NCAA Northeast Regional, won her first career collegiate race in a field of 45 athletes. Her individual win helped secure a team victory, as the Terriers (46 points) edged Connecticut by three points for the title.

The Naugatuck, Conn., native is enrolled in the School of Management, majoring in business administration and management.
