Terriers Finish 12th at NCAA Regionals

BRONX, N.Y. - With all five scorers finishing in the top 100, the Boston University men's cross country team finished 12th at Friday's NCAA Northeast Regional in Van Cortlandt Park. Junior Kevin Thomas was the Terriers' top finisher in 32nd place.
BU was one of 39 teams running in Friday's race and placed second among the four Patrior League schools that were competing. Army finished one spot ahead of the Terriers in 11th place with 334 points. BU had 344 points.
Thomas ran the course in a time of 31:14.83. BU's second finisher was junior Alec Olson in 53rd place. Sophomore Mitch Russo (70th), senior Ben Ravetz (90th) and junior Paul Gennaro (99th) rounded out the Terriers' top five.
Syracuse edged Providence, 45-48, for the team title. Iona, Columbia and Cornell made up the rest of the top five.
Thomas improved on his showing from last year when he placed 49th at the 2012 regional meet.
