TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Senior Rosa Moriello of the Boston University women's cross country team competed at the 2014 Division I NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday afternoon at Lavern Gibson Championship Course.
Moriello finished 87th out of a field of over 250 on Saturday, posting a time of 21:07.8. The performance capped a terrific cross country career in which she won back-to-back Patriot League individual titles and earned All-Region honors three times. Moriello posted back-to-back top-25 finishes at the NCAA Northeast Regional, including a 13th-place showing last weekend. She was also the New England champion last year and won five races over the last two seasons.
The Naugatuck, Connecticut, native will now try and help the Terriers defend their Patriot League indoor and outdoor track & field championships as BU continues its quest for a second consecutive clean sweep.
