Sheftic Named PL Rookie Of The Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Kara Sheftic was named the Lids Team Sports Rookie of the Week the Patriot League announced on Monday afternoon. This is the first rookie award a Terrier has received so far this season and Sheftic's first-ever honor.
Sheftic set a career high this week at Rhode Island with 12 points and then matched her performance at Marist, scoring 12 points by way of a 10-for-10 performance at the free-throw line.
In addition to averaging 12.0 points per game last week, she also contributed 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest.
Sophomore forward Meghan Green was the only other Terrier to earn a weekly award this year, earning a Player of the Week designation on Nov. 24.
The Terriers are off for the next two weeks but return to action at Case Gym on Sunday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. when they take on Massachusetts.
