BOSTON - Coming off a 77-65 victory over Binghamton, the Boston University men's basketball team will conclude its three-game homestand against MAAC foe St. Peter's with tip-off slated for 2 p.m. on Saturday in Case Gym.

The Terriers (2-4) and Peacocks (2-6) are meeting for the third straight season following last year's thrilling 66-65 BU victory at The Roof.

TEN TERRIER TIDBITS

• Wednesday's victory against the Bearcats snapped a three-game losing streak and marked the Terriers' first home win of the season.

• Six Terriers combined for 14 3-pointers on 28 attempts against Binghamton, just two shy of tying the school record ... Last season, BU drained 15-of-30 against Lafayette in the Patriot League quarterfinals.

• In both victories this season, BU has shot above 50 percent ... On Wednesday, sophomore Eric Fanning went a near-perfect 6-of-7 to finish with 14 points, just one shy of his career high set at Wagner ... He added a career-high four assists.

• Sophomore Cedric Hankerson currently ranks in the top 15 in nine different Patriot League categories, including second in 3-pointers made (3.3), second in scoring (20.7 ppg), t-fifth in assists (3.8 apg), eighth in steals (1.5 spg) and 11th in rebounding (4.8 rpg).

• Hankerson has scored at least 20 points in four straight games, the longest streak since Darryl Partin ('12) had seven consecutive performances in 2011-12.

• Junior Nathan Dieudonne ranks second in the Patriot League in rebounding at 7.7 rpg and leads the conference in offensive rebounds at 2.8 rpg.

• A game after being shut out, the bench produced 27 points against Binghamton ... Freshman Will Goff drained his first two career field goals from behind the arc ... Sophomore Dylan Haines played a career-high 11 minutes and contributed two points along with freshman Nick Havener.

• Wednesday's win marked first game of the season when the Terriers hit fewer than 10 free throws ... BU is averaging more than 20 trips to the line a game after averaging just 16.9 last season ... Team though is just shooting 68.7 percent.

• Binghamton's Dusan Perovic led the Bearcats with 34 points, including 29 in the second half to keep the deficit below 20 points ... Those are the most points by an individual against BU since Stony Brook's D.J. Munir tallied 35 on Feb. 11, 2003.

• Currently 18-8 all-time in Case Gym, head coach Joe Jones needs one more victory to move into a tie for third-place all-time at BU with Roy Sigler ... Dennis Wolff (119) and Rick Pitino (35) lead the way.

SCOUTING ST. PETER'S

• The 2-6 record is a bit deceiving as four of the losses have been by three points or less, including a two-point defeat to Niagara and one-point loss at Hartford.

• The Peacocks own a dominating 68-50 victory at Rutgers and 66-58 win over Tennessee St.

• St. Peter's and BU share one common opponent in Norfolk State ... The Terriers won at NSU, 71-63 ... The Spartans edged SPU, 60-58.

• 6-foot-7 forward and Fordham transfer Marvin Dominique leads SPU in both scoring (15.1 ppg) and rebounding (9.1 rpg) ... A transfer from Delaware State, 6-foot-2 guard Desi Washington scored 11 points in his lone appearance this season ... He had 32 points against BU back in 2012.

• 6-foot-1 guard Trevis Wyche leads SPU in assists at 3.2 apg and also averages 7.1 ppg.

• SPU is shooting 40.9 percent and is out-rebounding teams, 31.4 - 30.9 rpg.

SERIES HISTORY

• Teams will be meeting for the 10th time in a series that dates back to 1973-74 ... The Terriers have won the last six meetings and lead the series, 7-2.

UP NEXT

• The Terriers will remain in the area and visit three-time defending Ivy League champion Harvard on Monday (Dec. 8) at 7 p.m.

• Harvard has won the last five meetings, including a 79-68 overtime victory in 2013 and last-second 65-64 victory in 2012.
