
Terriers in Second After Day One of Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Boston University women's track & field team is in second place after day one of the Patriot League Championships held at Bucknell's Gerhard Fieldhouse.
The pentathlon was the lone event of the day and featured three Terriers in competition. Sophomore Catherine Sampson led the Terriers with a score of 3237 points, good for third place. Freshman Adrienne Pascucci placed seventh with a total of 3011 points. They earned six and two team points, respectively, to help BU finish the day tied with Holy Cross. Freshman Erika Treske also made her Patriot League Championships debut and finished 14th (2643).
The men's team was also in action in the heptathlon. At the conclusion of four events, senior Nat Hinckley (2629) is fourth and freshman Sebastian Prieto Vasquez (2380) is seventh.
The championship meet will continue tomorrow with the conclusion of the heptathlon as well as the men and women's weight throw, long jump and high jump. In addition, the finals of the 5,000m runs and 4x800m relays will take place.
