
Adler, Sumner Named to Academic All-Patriot League Team

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Senior Monica Adler and sophomore Michelle Sumner of the Boston University women's track & field team were each named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, the conference office announced on Friday.
Both athletes were victorious at the Patriot League Indoor Championships this past weekend to help BU claim the team title in its first season as a member institution. Sumner won the 5,000m run and Adler claimed the title in the mile. The duo is among the best in the conference across multiple events this season, with Sumner ranking second in the 5,000m run and third in the 3,000m run. Adler has the fastest mile time and the second-quickest 3,000m mark in the Patriot League.
In addition to their success on the track, Adler and Sumner also excelled in the classroom. Sumner holds a 3.80 GPA while majoring in both Business Administration and Management as well as Economics. Adler carries a 3.29 GPA while majoring in Health Studies.
The Terriers will be in action this weekend when they host both the New England Championships (Feb. 28-March 1) and the Last Chance Meet (March 2).
