
Terriers Fall to No. 1 Brown on Saturday

The Boston University women's rowing team continued its spring season on Saturday, falling to No. 1 Brown in Providence, R.I.
The Terriers were seeking their first Arlene Gorton Cup victory over the Bears since 1993, but were swept by Brown in five races on the day.
The varsity eight boat, coxed by senior Sarah Specht and stroked by freshman Kelli Wegner, finished with a time of 6:21.1, behind Brown’s varsity eight boat which finished with a time of 6:07.2.
The second varsity eight boat, coxed by junior Eline Vermeulen and stroked by senior Mackenzie Wiler, finished with a time of 6:58.4, well behind Browns finishing time of 6:22.7.
Next week the Terriers will travel to Lewisberry, Penn. to face Patriot League foe Bucknell on April 26 before heading to Collingswood, N.J. to race in the Eastern Sprints on May 4.
