After winning the varsity eight grand final and with it the Patriot League Championship, the women's rowing team's varsity eight boat has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athletes of the Week.
Made up of Sarah Specht, Claire Richer, Mackenzie Wiler, Emily Lerhe, Kerry Kennedy, Lynn Ratte, Westanna Carleton, Alex Gustafson and Kelly Jackson, the V8 boat entered the final race trailing Navy by five points and needing a victory.
They won with a time 7:14.58 to capture 27 points. Navy finished fourth and earned just 18 points, allowing BU to pull ahead and win the championship by four points (49-45).
Led by Patriot League Coach of the Year Stacey Rippetoe, the Terriers' V8 boat was named PL Boat of the Year.
