Phillips 66 National Championships Results
IRVINE, Calif. - Both rising junior Stephanie Nasson and sophomore Sarah Hargrave of the Boston University women's swimming and diving team competed last week at the Phillips 66 National Championships. The event was held at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Complex, and both women were representing the Adirondack Aquatic Club.
Owner of school records in both the 500 and 1650 Freestyle, Nasson was the first BU women's swimmer since 1988 to participate in the NCAAs this past spring. She swam in the 1500 LC Freestyle and took 13th out of 37 competitors with a time of 16:46.24, only six seconds shy of a top-10 result. The 2014 Patriot League Swimmer of the Meet also placed 33rd out of 63 swimmers in the 800 LC Feestyle with a time of 8:47.84.
An All-Patriot League Second Team honoree this past season, Hargrave took 34th in the same 1500 Freestyle event with a time of 17:12.98. She also finished 61st in the 800 event at 9:11.45.
