NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Paced by four harriers in the top 25, the Boston University men's cross country team finished fourth at the CCSU Mini Meet hosted by Central Connecticut State on Friday afternoon.
The Terriers were fourth in a 15-team field with 94 points, with all five Terriers that scored finishing in the top 40. It was the final race for BU before next weekend's Patriot League Championships.
Senior Kevin Thomas continued his strong season with a 14th-place finish. He crossed the line in 15:27.9. Freshman Alexander Seal and senior Alec Olson were neck-and-neck behind Thomas, finishing 15th and 16th, respectively, with the exact same time of 15:28.0.
Junior Ethan Homan was 21st with a time of 15:31.2, followed by classmate Matti Groll in 39th (15:41.7). Another junior, Tom Cunningham (15:59.3), along with freshman Daniel Erickson (16:27.4), rounded out the Terrier contingent.
BU will boast a strong lineup next Saturday (Oct. 31) when the Terriers aim for their first Patriot League title at the conference championship hosted by Colgate. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m.
