CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Seniors Paul Gennaro and Shelby Stableford of the Boston University men’s and women’s cross country teams were both named to their respective Academic All-Patriot League Teams, the conference announced on Friday.
Stableford has now been selected to the Academic All-Patriot League team in all three seasons that she has been eligible, while Gennaro is making his second straight appearance on the squad. Both harriers were once again excellent in the classroom and in competition.
An economics major, Stableford has maintained a 3.76 grade-point average and is a four-time Dean’s List selection. She also became a three-time All-League honoree thanks to her fifth-place performance at the Patriot League Championship on Oct. 31. The Colorado Springs, Colorado, native posted two other top-25 finishes in 2015.
Gennaro owns a 3.75 GPA as a mechanical engineering major. He helped the Terriers take second at this year’s Patriot League Championship thanks to a top-30 finish. A native of Abington, Pennsylvania, Gennaro also finished 19th at the New England Championship to help secure the Terriers’ first team title at that event since 1993.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Nov. 13 at Franklin Park.
