Four Terriers earned Student Athlete of the Week recognition following their outstanding performances at the Patriot League Championships last week. Gemma Acheampong and David Oluwadara from the track and field team and Connor Stuewe and Lizzie Tillo from the swimming and diving team all earned the honor this week.
Stuewe had one of the best showings of his career at the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships last week, setting two school, league and meet records and a Bucknell pool record. He took the individual crown in both the 100 and 200 backstroke, all of which earned him the Male Swimmer of the Meet award and helped the men's team to a third-place finish.
In her first-ever conference meet, freshman Lizzie Tillo won the 3-meter dive and placed fifth overall on the 1-meter board. She was named the Female Diver of the Meet for her accomplishments and helped the women's team to a third-place finish.
Acheampong helped the women's track and field team to a second-place finish at the Patriot League Championship, winning both the 60m dash and 200m dash. She was named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet for her accomplishments.
