Terriers Face URI and BC on Saturday
April 24, 2015 | Women's Rowing
The Boston University women's rowing team will continue their spring season when they take on URI and Boston College on Saturday in Kingston, R.I. The races will be the Terriers final tune-up before the Eastern Sprints on May 3rd in Collingswood, N.J.
The Terriers' varsity four "B" and "C" boats will start things off at 9:40 a.m. with the team's varsity eight boat racing last at 11 a.m.
"We're anticipating gutsy, close racing this weekend," said director of women's rowing Stacey Rippetoe. "We've made good shifts in our training this week on the Charles and we are especially eager to see those practices take shape in our race pieces this Saturday."
Following this weekend's races, the Terriers' schedule ramps up with the Eastern Sprints on May 3rd followed by the Patriot League Championship in Camden, N.J. on May 15. BU will be looking for its third-straight conference championship and third-straight automatic bid to the NCAA Championships held this year in Sacramento California starting May 29th.
