
5 Terriers Awarded 2015 IRA All-Academic distinction

DANBURY, Conn. - Five members of the Boston University men's rowing team were awarded 2015 IRA All-Academic distinction, the association announced this week.
For a student-athlete to be eligible, he or she must be at least a sophomore in standing; maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.35 or higher; earn an institutional letter; and compete at the 2015 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta.
Sophomores Aleksandar Marinkovski and Luka Miladinovic, juniors Matt Maginnis and John Carter, and senior Tomas Weaver were all honorees. Miladinovic led all Terriers with a 3.72 GPA as a business administration and management major.
Miladinovic, Marinkovski and Maginnis were each members of the BU's varsity eight boat that went undefeated in cup racing this spring and finished second in the petite final at the IRA National Championship Regatta on May 31st.
Carter and Weaver were part of the second varsity eight boat that won a bronze medal at the IRAs, becoming the first eight boat to medal at the IRAs in program history. The 2V boat also won a silver medal at the Eastern Sprints.
